Easement
A deposited plan of easement/s (DPE) is a legal document that shows the location and details of an easement on a property. An easement is a legal right to use a portion of land owned by someone else for a specific purpose, such as access to a utility line or drainage. An DPE is created by a registered surveyor and is filed with the NSW Land Registry Services.
The EDP includes a plan that shows the location, size, and shape of the easement, as well as any relevant information about it, such as its purpose. This can then be action either by the lodgment of a dealing or 88B instrument.
