Boundary Marking
A boundary pegout is a type of land survey that is conducted to accurately establish the boundaries of a property. The purpose of a boundary pegout is to locate and mark the physical boundaries of a property with pegs or markers, which are typically made of wood, metal, or plastic.
During a boundary pegout, a registered surveyor will visit the property and use a combination of field measurements, math’s, mapping, and research to determine the exact location of the property's boundaries. The surveyor will place markers or pegs at the corners of the property and if required at regular intervals along the boundaries to clearly indicate the extent of the property.
A boundary pegout is typically required for a variety of reasons, including property sales, property development, boundary disputes, and fencing. It is an important tool for ensuring that property owners and stakeholders understand the exact location of their property boundaries and can use the land in a safe and responsible manner.
